Winter 2010-2011 Programme.
Members who have submitted
walks or other events for the Winter 2010-11 Programme have
been sent copies for checking. Please return confirmation or
comments to Gerald in time for publication on September 3rd.
There are still some blanks in the plan - please submit asap.
The On-Line Response Form
may be used for this. Apologies for the silly question at the
end - this is to try and reduce the incidence of spam responses
filled with random information!
Don't forget to keep monitoring
this site for last minute corrections and further amendments to
details to the current programme.
You can still download and
print the Summer Programme booklet in the same format as
is distributed to members. This is a PDF file (you will need
Adobe Reader for this, search, download and install this if
you don't already have it).
To print the booklet, print
the odd pages first, and then the even pages each on the
back of the preceding odd numbered page (check the orientation!).
Stack the pages in the order printed and fold in the middle!
Programme as PDF file.
"More Info."
We now have a facility for
adding additional information on individual walks to the
on-line Walks Programme pages on this website. This information
is seen via a "More Info" link on the walk details on the plan,
so it is worth checking before going on a walk (quite apart
from checking any amendments to the walk details themselves).
Add "More Info"
Events that you need to book.
We often need to confirm
arrangements well before the actual event! Please help the
organizer by BOOKING EARLY, and certainly no later than any
closing date indicated. Places will always be allocated on a
first come first served basis. Cancellation may occur if
numbers are not viable. Further details can be obtained from
the leader.

where they promote outdoor activities. They invite members to
contribute photos to their 'What You Saw On Your Walk' gallery

Insurance,
Mountain Safety and Finances. Note: the RA insurance
no longer covers mountain walking which requires equipment
such as ice axes, crampons, ropes and other climbing aids.
Footpaths and Rights of Way Issues.
Queries or comments relating
to local footpaths may be addressed to the local
footpath secretary if known, or to the appropriate
Committee Member (see Contacts, left) who will deal with or pass on as appropriate.
Advertisements.
Support our sponsors! - see
Goods and Services.
It is possible to include modest amounts of advertising
which will go out with the 6 monthly printed programme and be
included on the Goods and Services page.
Advertising should be linked to health issues or objects
associated with an active life style or walking.
Advertisers are responsible for the
service or goods they advertise. Advertisers should indicate any
training, qualification or experience they have for the service
offered where this is important. We reserve the right to refuse
advertisements. There will be a charge, club members reduced
rate, minimum £10. Sale items would be charged 10% of the
advertised value. Simple text adverts, or a link to an
advertiser's site, will be included on our
Goods and Services page.
For a small additional charge, depending on complexity, more
elaborate web pages can be designed and included on the Stone
Ramblers site or advertiser's own material can be incorporated.
